Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. About This Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with Gateway. It forms part of the Terms of Use between you and Next Generation Media Limited (“Gateway”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Words with capital letters, such as “Account”, “Server”, and “Services”, have the meanings given to them in the Terms.

This policy applies however you use Gateway, including through a team or through ChatGPT, Claude, or another Third-Party Service. Section 4 of the Terms applies to activity under your Account.

If this policy and the rest of the Terms conflict, the rest of the Terms prevail.

IN OTHER WORDS,

These are the house rules. They're part of our Terms, just kept on their own page so they're easier to find.

They apply however you use Gateway, whether you click around yourself or ask an assistant to do it for you.

2. Everywhere on Gateway

You must not use Gateway to:

  • break the law;
  • access, control, scan, interfere with, or attack systems you are not authorised to administer;
  • facilitate fraud, theft, extortion, harassment, or other unlawful activity;
  • deploy or operate malicious infrastructure against third parties;
  • steal or misuse credentials, personal information, or confidential information;
  • intentionally disrupt Gateway or other users;
  • bypass security measures, rate limits, Account restrictions, or plan limits;
  • misuse file-transfer or other Gateway functionality to distribute unlawful or malicious material; or
  • use the Services in a way that creates unreasonable risk to Gateway, our infrastructure, our providers, or other people.

IN OTHER WORDS,

Don't use Gateway for anything illegal, fraudulent, malicious, or evil.

Don't use it to break into somebody else's server, and don't try to break our platform either. Play nice, or we'll show you the door.

3. Accounts

Each person or business may have only one Account. A team is not a separate Account: you create and join teams from your own Account, as section 27 of the Terms describes.

You must not create or use additional Accounts, including Accounts in another person's name, to get around plan limits, compliance reviews, holds, suspensions, or terminations.

A Server used by more than one person must be connected through a team, not added to each person's own Account. Connecting the same Server to more than one personal Account multiplies the plan limits that apply to it, and counts as getting around them.

Where we reasonably believe Accounts are being used together in breach of this section, we may take action under this policy against each of them.

IN OTHER WORDS,

One account per person or business, please. Teams don't count: they hang off your own account, so make as many as you need.

A second account to dodge a limit, a review or a suspension isn't allowed, and whatever happens to one account can happen to all of them.

Sharing a server? Put it in a team. The same server on two personal accounts doubles its limits, and that counts as dodging them.

4. Automation, Agents & Cryptocurrency

You must not use Gateway to:

  • automatically claim cryptocurrency, tokens, airdrops, faucet payouts, or other rewards;
  • run multiple wallets, accounts, or identities to claim more than one person's share of a reward, airdrop, or allocation;
  • automate gambling, betting, or wagering; or
  • create, operate, or automate accounts on other services in bulk, or in breach of those services' terms.

Support is for people. When you use an automated agent with Gateway, such as an artificial-intelligence system acting through a Third-Party Service:

  • support requests must be written by, or reviewed before sending by, the Account holder or a team member, and an automated agent must not open, reply to, or reopen support requests on its own;
  • you must not use support requests to make an ever-growing series of demands, to reopen a subject we have answered or closed, or to impose conditions on how we handle a request;
  • support covers the Services as they are offered. Requests that we design, build, or guarantee new or custom features, for free or otherwise, are not support requests; and
  • we may close a support request that does not meet this section without replying.

Whether or not you use an automated agent, you must treat our support team with courtesy. You must not be abusive, hostile, or deliberately obstructive towards them, and when we review your Account you must answer the questions we ask fully and honestly and provide the documents we request.

When you use Gateway with a Third-Party Service, such as an artificial-intelligence assistant, you must not use Gateway to evade, disable, or work around that service's safety checks or usage policies, for example by encoding, obfuscating, splitting, or relaying commands so that the service cannot see what they do, or to get commands past the Gateway classifier.

You are responsible for what an automated agent does under your Account, including what it sends to us (Terms section 4). Repeated or serious breaches of this section are an abuse risk under Terms section 16.

This section does not restrict ordinary use. For example, you may run a blockchain node or a wallet, build or host your own application, trade on your own account, use an automated agent to administer your Servers through Gateway, or use one to help you write a support request that you then read and send. Cryptocurrency mining on a Cloud Server is not allowed (section 5).

IN OTHER WORDS,

No faucet bots, no airdrop farms, and no army of wallets pretending to be lots of different people. No automated gambling either, and no mass-producing accounts on somebody else's service.

Your AI can run your servers. It can't run your support tickets. A real person on the account writes to us, or at least reads it before it goes. Once we've answered, asking again in longer words won't change the answer. And "please build this for me, for free, by Friday" is a wish, not a support request.

Be decent to the people answering your tickets. If we review your account, answer what we ask and send what we ask for. It's the quickest way back to work.

Your AI assistant's safety checks are there for a reason. Don't use Gateway to sneak commands past them, whether that's base64-encoded PowerShell or a command chopped into pieces. If the assistant says no, the answer is no. The same goes for the Gateway classifier, our own safety check.

Running a node, keeping a wallet, building your own app, trading for yourself, or letting your AI look after your servers? All fine. Carry on.

5. Cloud Servers

In addition to section 2, you must not use a Cloud Server (a cloud server we provide through Gateway Cloud, as section 29 of the Terms describes) to:

  • mine cryptocurrency or perform similar proof-of-work computation;
  • operate a public or commercial VPN, proxy, or other anonymising service for use by others;
  • host a public game server without our prior written approval;
  • send bulk or unsolicited email. Outbound connections on TCP port 25 are blocked;
  • attack, scan, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to other systems, including through repeated SSH sign-in attempts; or
  • sustain continuous high-volume transfers that place an unreasonable load on shared infrastructure.

IN OTHER WORDS,

No crypto mining, no public VPNs or proxies, no public game servers unless we've said yes, and no email from port 25. It's a server, not a spam cannon, however tempting.

No knocking on other people's doors, and go easy on the shared network.

6. Enforcement

If you breach this policy, we may place your Account on hold for a compliance review, suspend the affected Server, Cloud Server, or Account, or terminate your access, in accordance with sections 16 and 17 of the Terms.

Where reasonably practicable, we will tell you what is wrong and give you an opportunity to resolve it. Urgent security, legal, abuse, or infrastructure risks may require immediate action.

We may stop a Cloud Server immediately, without prior notice, where we reasonably consider it necessary to respond to abuse, an attack, a complaint, or our hosting provider's requirements. After reviewing it, we may delete a Cloud Server used in material breach of this policy.

We may investigate suspected breaches of this policy.

Nothing in this policy limits any other part of the Terms.

IN OTHER WORDS,

Break these rules and we may pause your account while we take a look, switch off the server or account involved, or close the account altogether.

Usually we'll tell you what's wrong and give you a chance to sort it out. Something urgent may not leave time for that.

A cloud server causing trouble can be switched off straight away, and deleted if it turns out to be serious.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published at trygateway.sh/legal/acceptable-use, with the date it was last updated. Updates take effect when we publish them.

IN OTHER WORDS,

We may update these rules now and then. The latest version always lives on this page, with the date at the top.
